(he/him/they/them)
Hello! Welcome to my portfolio. I am a trained librarian living in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. I am currently working in a hospital and medical school library. I am involved with projects across the breadth of our services, including the creation of reference guides and technical catalog maintenance. I also continue to grow my education through training on topics such as research data management and systematic reviews. Please browse some examples of my 9+ years of work in libraries in the tabs above!
As a librarian, I am passionate about information literacy and accessibility. I believe in open science for everyone, and I think librarians are perfectly positioned to fulfill this goal by making information discoverable and obtainable, and by educating all patrons on how to find, evaluate, and use information. Out of all the projects I have had a hand in while in Library World, I have especially enjoyed teaching, marketing, collection development, and cataloging services. I'm currently learning more about the technical side of libraries and information management, teaching myself to code, and connecting with information professionals who hold the same passions for open science and information literacy as I do.
